This guide is directed at students and describes, how you can access certain of VIA's IT-services from home by using VPN.
What is a VPN?
VPN or Virtual Private Network is the term used for a technique which is used to create connections to systems and services that normally would only be available for you when logged on to a certain network (in this case VIA Wi-Fi). The purpose of VPN is to make it possible to gain a secure access to VIA's systems and services even though, you are located outside the address of VIA or outside VIA Wi-Fi.
To be able to log in to VPN, a prerequisite is that you have installed two-factor authentication. See the guide here for further instructions.
