Install PaperCut Print Deploy

These instructions are directed at students and explain how you install VIA's printer and plotter on your Mac or PC.

NOTE! You cannot install plotters so you can plot directly from a MacBook. You must use the VIA PC connected to the plotter.

Login

Open the website print.via.dk, and get access with your VIA login.

Install PaperCut Print Deploy

Windows

NOTE! Remember to restart your PC before starting the installation, so that all system updates do not block the installation.

  1. Click on "PaperCut Print Deploy - Windows". A file for installing the print driver is now being downloaded.
  2. Click on the file and start the installation.
  1. Click on "Next".
  1. You must then accept the request for permission by clicking "Yes".
  1. When the installation is complete click on"Finish".
  1. After installation click on the "PaperCut Print Deploy Client" icon.

You'll find the icon on your Windows Desktop at the bottom between the icons next to the clock.

  1. Right-click on the PaperCut icon and select "View my printers".
  1. To link the printers to your VIA login click on "Sign in to install".
  1. Enter your VIA login.
  2. Approve by clicking on "Sign in and install".

The printer can now be selected in the application you are printing from.

If you want to install printer drivers for VIA's plotter, you can click on "Add printers" on the right side. Then click on the plotter you have access to.

Below is an example from Word. Select the printer ”VIA-Print [VIA-PRINT-PRT01] (Mobility).

For plotters respectively select "VIA-Plotter-Océ" or VIA-Plotter-Canon ".

Mac

  1. Click on "PaperCut Print Deploy - MAC". A file for installing the print driver is now being downloaded.
  1. Find the file in the bottom line and click on it.
  2. Click on "Open in Finder".
  1. Click on the file and start the installation.
  1. Click on "Continue".
  1. Click on"Continue".
  1. Click on "Agree".
  1. Click on "Install".
  1. Enter your VIA Login.
  2. Click on "Install Software".
  1. When the installation is done, click on "Close".
  1. Login to the PaperCut Print Deploy Client with your VIA login.
  2. Click on"Sign in and add printers".
  1. The "VIA-Print" printer is installed.
